Born in New York City, I studied graphic arts and have always worked in the commercial art field until retiring. I lived in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, Alaska and lastly, twenty years in the Green Mountains of Vermont. Escaping the cold climates in 2001, I now make my home in Silver City, New Mexico.
Being a hiker and an avid bird-watcher brings me out into the nature of the Southwest scene I strive to capture. Now I spend my time out in the mountains, forests, rivers and deserts of New Mexico and Arizona doing plein-air paintings.
